Sunny Bunny Recovery
The WEEN Yellow Balloon Group
Our Purpose
Sunny Bunny Recovery (Ween Yellow Balloon Group) is a radically inclusive community of Ween fans who choose to live a life of recovery from addiction. Our primary purpose is to offer fellowship, support, and information to individuals seeking the comfort and camaraderie of other people who are in recovery.
Although Sunny Bunny Recovery is predominantly composed of individuals in addiction recovery, we warmly welcome anyone who aspires to maintain sobriety, including the sober-curious and sober allies. It is important to note that Sunny Bunny Recovery does not hold any opinion regarding drugs and alcohol, and we neither condemn nor condone their use. We are an independent entity and have no affiliation with Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Ween, or any other sober fan group.
Tired of the life you are facing?
While it may be true that most people are not ok, we have found that for us, it has become unmanageable to continue taking our “siestas in the sun”.
We at Sunny Bunnies believe that ALL pathways to recovery are valid and shall be treated equally. There is no implicit bias that one program is dominant nor is membership in AA, NA , Smart Recovery etc. implied. We cannot stress this enough. There are many groups that are specific to particular recovery programs – Sunny Bunnies are not. We will moderate those who belittle the recovery of others. Acting sanctimonious or superior about your program will not be tolerated. Be candid, share your experience, do not give advice unless it’s asked for, and say what you mean but do not be mean with what you say.
People On Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT)
If you are on Suboxone, Subutex, Sublocade, Vivitrol, Methadone, etc. WELCOME! We recognize the work you are doing to improve your life and we want you here with us. Sunny Bunnies stand for “Any Positive Step” toward living a better life based on YOUR concept of what that means. Recovery is self-defined. Telling someone that they are not clean because of their use of MAT is not allowed. We do not project the rules of one program onto people who do not belong to that program here. Keep it Sunny.
What About Cannabis?
We understand that cannabis is the drug of choice for some and we recognize the struggle to overcome its chaotic use is real. Conversely we also know that THC, Kava, Kratom, Cubensis, etc. may be helping to keep you away from your drug of choice (including alcohol). If you are in either camp, we are here to support you! The bottom line is- everyone’s recovery is unique, and we respect whatever path you are on.
Do You Have A Minute To Talk About Jesus?
No. Our religious, nonreligious, agnostic, atheistic, interconnected vibrating frequencies that harmonize with the universe beliefs are deeply personal and not up for debate. That does not mean you cannot speak of your experience- we do not denigrate, nor do we project our beliefs onto others.
Table Commitments
If you are volunteering to work at a table at a concert, Sunny Bunnies expects those volunteers to not be under the influence of euphoric substances. The point of the tables is to provide a beacon light of traction to those who are trying to not drink or take mood-altering substances. Anybody can be in the Bunnies and anybody can hang out at the table. The guidelines however, are more stringent for volunteers. A clear head is imperative, as you are an example of recovery while sitting behind our table representing the Bunnies. If this seems confusing to you, we are happy to chat about this via private message.
Remember, we are all in this together, so come practice compassion with us! As the saying goes, “If you could save yourself, you’d save us all”.
